I began making my little clay house sculptures in the autumn of 2024 as a way to get myself out of my head and back into my body- an intuitive mental health exercise. The response to my work at the holiday craft shows I participated in lifted my spirits and propelled me toward building a big body of work for the coming year. The houses are made to remind me of my ancestral past, time spent in little villages, in simpler times. They incorporate plant and animal motifs, and continue to evolve in new directions. Thank you.
