I learned pottery from my dad as a child and have fond memories of traveling around the roadcuts of Northern Colorado looking for local clay deposits for our projects. I integrate the lush grandeur of the Pacific Northwest into my pottery and use both hand building and wheel throwing techniques. I approach pottery as an artform that is both beautiful and useful while also having a long history of human use that directly connects and links us with our past.
