One day we were sitting at the beach enjoying a bottle of beer and three things happened: it spilled over, the bottle got sandy, and the final sips were luke warm. So I started working toward a solution. After a few prototypes using different kinds of medium I came up with this lovely wood-turned piece that is useful and pretty. It can be poked in the sand or in the grass at music in the park events, or in your own back yard. Each one is unique in shape and color. As a self-taught wood lathe expert and I'm excited to show my product at First Thursday in the Pearl.
