Patricia grew up in Missouri and attended SMU in Dallas, where she earned a degree in Fine Art. A photographic exploration of light refractions led to a prestigious grant from Eastman Kodak. A fascination for unusual containers ensued and it wasn’t long before she began making glass. After fortuitously meeting Dante Marioni, she moved to Seattle and joined Dale Chihuly's chandelier crew and worked for Sonja Blomdahl. At Manifesto studio, she worked with Lino Tagliapetra, Nancy Callan and Lindsey Adelman. Next, New york. There she created large pieces for John Barman Inc, interior designers and architects to create custom color glass installations. In 2009 Rubinelli was granted an Artists Residency at the idyllic Byrdcliffe in Woodstock, NY. She has since returned to the Pacific Northwest, where she and her sweetheart live with two bunnies on a vintage houseboat, a short sail from the glass studio. Living on the water has been the inspiration reflected in her current body of work.
