I am a calligrapher and watercolor illustrator based in NE Portland. I gravitated to ink and watercolor because they are liquid and unpredictable, two qualities that balance my own proclivities for perfection and predictability.

I have worked as a writer, editor, project manager, sustainability advocate and social equity organizer. I believe in justice and inclusion, the abundant beauty of the natural world, the expansive magic of the universe, and hope. And as a recovering perfectionist, I embrace the little imperfections in pen-and-ink and watercolor work that make each piece unique.

After a career working for environmental and social change, I now channel these values into lettering and illustration projects for my clients. I weave all of these experiences and values into my work where we tell the truth, express our love, and celebrate life’s magical moments.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I have lived in Portland, Oregon with my partner Tony for 23 years. When I’m not getting ink on my hands, you can find me in my ⅓ acre urban garden, playing with my puppy Milo, riding my scooter, or playing board games with my family.
