My husband, John, and I relocated from the midwest to McMinnville, Oregon over 10 years ago. The move was precipitated by a desire to be close to our grandchildren and an honest desire to live a healthier more environmentally friendly life style. As a pediatrician I received a great deal of personal satisfaction from helping children and families. Although pediatrics and soap making may seem like an odd combination I see soap making as a natural extension of my healing skills. My soaps are cold processed and made with natural, mostly organic ingredients. Each batch is hand cut and cured for 6-8 weeks to produce a hard long lasting bar. Every batch is individually tested on my husband and/or grandchildren. My soaps are unique in that every batch contains clean fresh Oregon mountain rain. Mountain Mary’s products not only heal and soothe the skin but are safe for the environment.
