Art should not imitate life, it should inspire one to dream, to feel... While my subject matter is often based in the real world, I try to create an other-worldlyness through the use of exagerated color, shadow, and texture, often juxtaposed with flattened space. I wish the viewer to see into my paintings, peeling away their multiple layers to see what's hidden beneath.
