ARTIST STATEMENT-KATHY KUSHMAN

Making jewelry for the working woman was my goal when I began 10 years ago. I have taken many classes in wire jewelry and metalwork and this has helped me to grow as an artist with multiple mediums. I do one-of-a-kind necklaces and bracelets that have some of the following elements: gemstones, pearls, sterling, copper, (sheet metal or wire), crystals or shells I have collected in my travels. I take pride in the quality of my pieces and have many return customers. It gives me pleasure to please a customer with a unique piece of jewelry.
My sales are primarily in Art Shows and farmer’s markets; juried events include: Tualatin Art Splash, various Lake Oswego art events, Beaverton, Cedar Mill and Orenco Farmer’s Markets, Vancouver Holiday Market, German International School Holiday Market, Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival and many others.
