I started wood burning as a unique way to make gifts for my family and friends. I was tired of giving generic store bought gifts and wanted to give the people I care about something more personal. Once I started, I couldn't stop! I became obsessed with all things art: Pyrography, Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Acrylic, Digital Art, you name it!
I got sober in February 2022 and my life changed drastically. I got laid off and hiked 700 miles of the Appalachian Trail with my identical twin sister. That’s where I earned my trail name, Snail Guardian, by picking up innocent snails off the trail and transporting them to safety, away from the boots of hikers. I'm inspired by the beauty of nature around us. The animals, the trees, the flowers, the sky, the mountains. It is what brings me peace.
After the trail, I packed everything I owned into my Subaru Forester and drove cross country by myself, from New Haven, CT to Portland, OR to start fresh. My life is beautiful and I made it that way.
I finally have the confidence to start my small business and put my handmade art out into the universe. I am putting my heart and soul into my art and it is my therapy. Any free time I have, you will find me painting, drawing, wood burning, or finding materials for my art. My passion for nature and expressing my creativity is driving me forward.
