Using reclaimed and scrap hardwoods (walnut, maple) and some softwoods (hemlock, fir), we create "masu boxes", into which a one-of-a-kind shadowbox is created.The story inside come alive when the LED on top is turned on. Some are enclosed, capturing objects inside to make the shadowbox interactive, a modern snow globe... All the woodwork is done here in our wood shop, and most of the metal pieces are cast and poured out of lead-free pewter here as well. The story pieces are either found objects, from our vast collection hoarded of trinkets, or out of our children's toybox...
