James E Orman,
Wood Artist

A woodworker who has been led astray by the muses

I worked for many years in the theatre creating moments that lived for a brief time. While working with a Yu'pik carver assisting him in writing a play I discovered the wonder of sculpture which has led to creating pieces that live within their own environment. I have had the privilege of designing and building stage sets, building homes, custom furniture and now sculptured pieces the thread through all of this work has been the discovery of the "chi" that connects us to the work and the universe.
