Jewelry Artist

Claire Green is a jewelry designer and maker, originally from upstate New York and recently transplanted to Portland, Oregon. She’s been creating out of metal for over 10 years and is continuously discovering more to love about the craft. After receiving an MFA in metals from the School for American Crafts at RIT, Claire worked as a goldsmith for two years before launching her own line in 2012.

Particularly drawn to the methods of manipulating metal from its flat, solid state into voluminous forms and textural shapes, Claire uses techniques such as forging, etching, lost wax casting and hand fabrication to create her unique pieces.

In addition to playing with metal and fire, Claire enjoys exploring the outdoors with her partner in crime, (an artist and leather craftsman) and their Australian shepherd, Oliver.
