Being a war veteran who struggled with PTSD, I found my outlet through painting. It was after going to local art shows that I became inspired & my monochromatic world turned colorful. A world where you can do anything or be anyone. War can definitely make you take a step back and reevaluate things. So many questions and not enough answers. Once I began my journey after coming home, I found myself through art. It is a way for me to express myself when words don't work. I think of an idea that I'm most passionate about, sketch it out, then plan the color scheme. I start very loose, then as I get to my focal point I try and add as much detail as I can. Using a brush, palette knife, sponge or whatever is available, I try and make each piece I paint have a different feel. "Love saved my life. I looked everywhere to find it, but I finally found it in myself. We never know how much longer we have on this earth. Tomorrow was never promised. Be yourself, be great!" -Christian
