Annamieka Hopps Davidson,
Lush paintings by a lifelong Oregonian - embrace your sense of wild wonder.
I am a lifelong Oregonian and my work is deeply informed by the lush surroundings of the Pacific Northwest. I paint on wood and canvas, building up layers with acrylics, drawings and collage. I explore themes of hope and healing with imagery of the natural world, botany and the human body. Along with original paintings, I also sell prints, cards, and ready-to-hang prints mounted on wood blocks. I live with my husband in a colorful house with a wild garden near Mt Tabor in Southeast Portland. I teach workshops on painting and art-making at my Southeast Portland studio and I lead creative retreats in the forest and at the coast. I intend for my paintings to be little care packages of wonder and wildness for the people who take them home. Follow along on Instagram and my blog for the latest art adventures and escapades.
