A New Season 2021

Hello UAN Artists!

Happy Spring. We have some information to share as we begin this brand new season.

Planning the Season

Although we do not yet have a concrete date for the start of the First Thursday Street Gallery, we are confident we will have outdoor shows on NW 13th Avenue this season. We are currently in conversations with the City of Portland, The Pearl District Neighborhood Association, and The Pearl District Business Association. There is interest and excitement about our return, but there is also a need for careful planning. Please keep watching these emails and social media for updates about the start date and return of the First Thursday Street Gallery coming soon.

World Collage Day

May 8th, 2021 is the 4th annual World Collage Day, sponsored by Kolaj Magazine (kolajmagazine.com). UAN member MJ Connors Davison invites artists to participate in "Exquisite Community" a collective reflection of community revitalization following a year of Covid. This is an opportunity for the collage/mixed media community to create works about moving forward with hope and strength. Finished works will be documented, displayed and for sale both in-person and virtual exhibit on World Collage Day.

For more information and for artists interested in this opportunity please contact MJ before April 1st here

Virtual Momentum

The response to A Heart Show was excellent. We had great artist participation, fantastic pieces, we appreciate everyone's support and activity. We hope to do another virtual theme show soon!

The UAN Market is flourishing. Many new artists have joined. Our new online commission-free sales platform gives artists complete control over every aspect of their gallery: inventory, pricing, sales and delivery. As it continues to grow the UAN Market has the potential to become the largest and most diverse source of local Portland art for sale.
