Karen Thurman creates felted sculpture. Her inspiration comes from the
medium itself. The transformation of fiber into felt lends itself well to color,
pattern, shape, whimsy, and humor.
Claire Browne has been working with India ink and a nib pen. She is interested
in ancient writing systems such as Egyptian scripts and Buddhist texts and have
been moved by the paintings of the aboriginal Australians.
Jikai Golan paintings are the result of experimenting with unusual materials:
organic materials like teas, curry and various coffee mixtures, combines traditional
drawing materials such as graphite, pencil, paint and sumi-e ink.
