Kristy Kún and Michael de Forest
Preview Reception, Sept 5, 5-8pm
First Thursday Reception, Sept 6, 5:30-8pm
Artist Talk; Sept 16, 11am
Kristy Kún has had her hands in water, kneading, rubbing and tangling wool fibers into undulating forms for the last fifteen years. In her new work, she hopes to capture the rhythmic, underwater life of felt. Since the mid-seventies, woodworker Michael de Forest has used his hands to bend, join, laminate, carve and paint wood. His work explores stories about the natural and mythical, the mundane and spiritual, and the pragmatic and sublime.
